We talk about brute strength and the one rep max. I think everything now is strength and endurance which is fine but we just wanted to reintroduce to our family the idea of just big monster lifts. You know, push, pull or throw something really big.
We really talk about hitting the overhead lift known in the strength world as pressing.
Andrew talks about a very powerful lifter in his gym by the name of Jake Renyolds.

Jake has log pressed 350 pounds at 230 pounds of body weight. He has front squatted over 500 pounds and had pulled 600 pounds off the floor. Jake is putting massive numbers up and is going into a pressing meet shortly where he’ll call for a 380 pound log which he will attempt to snap overhead. He has his sights set on 400 pounds. He might just hit that big number in the same meet.
Eric and Andrew talk about lifting big in everything from bent rows and all their variations to dips, pullovers, high pulls, thick bars, deadlifts and bench pressing.
We talk about training with singles and triples. There are no high repping exercises on the podcast. There is only slow grind it out big weights with lots of low reps to stimulate, build and turn you into a hulking figure.
