Andrew Durniat-Strength in Real Time-#250Eric welcomes strength athlete Andrew Durniat  to the podcast. Eric and Andrew talk about one arm lifts, thick bar dumbbells, thick bar barbells, kettlebells and kettlebell juggling to name a few of the lifts Andrew is so proficient with. Andrew talks about what got him started in weightlifting. He talked about how the older guys not only muscled him around but pushed him mentally to. So Andrew decided he wanted to get stronger so he could compete with the older guys. Andrew started out with body weight movements initially and progressed into the steel weights for added strength and body size. Andrew wanted this one big goal: ” I want to get stronger!” We talk about how struggle really has a positive effect on the growth of an athlete. For without struggle and nothing around you testing your character how do you expect to exceed your given expectations? We talk about Andrews favorite lift which is the deadlift. We also talk about how his amazing strength and stamina has propelled him into world class strongman contests along with grip events where he has placed in the top three competing against some of the biggest known names in the strength arena.
