Breakthrough-Eric Fiorillo The Host of the Award Winning Motivation and Muscle Streaming Radio 24/7 Welcomes Himself to a Solo Edition of Motivation and Muscle Streaming Radio 24/7. Eric is the Owner of Both Motivation and Muscle and its Parent Company Fiorillo Barbell Company. Eric is a strength lover specializing in Barbells, Odd lifts, Power Rack Training and Stone Lifting. Eric is a personal trainer specializing in building strength and size in all athletes, the art of weight loss, and teaching trainees how to program their minds for a successful future in and out of the gym. Today I’m flying solo and it is a lot of fun to just talk with my family for a change of pace. I love talking about the word Breakthrough in and out of the gym. Let’s first concentrate on the gym. To me other then your family the gym is the standard I live by. It could also be called the model where you become what you have learned in this environment. Now I’m not talking about the commercial establishments where the guys are walking around with their lats spread and the girls are pretending that every guy in the place is staring at them. No way! What I’m talking about is the outdoor gyms, garage gyms and also the basement lifters.This to me is where the school is taught, fought for and learned. This is the place where failure is king and we are in a constant battle to make good on our goals and promises for greatness! This my M&M Family is where we have those monstrous Breakthroughs. As I’ve told everyone listening to Motivation and Muscle one of my biggest Breakthroughs was Dead Stop Training. I was so bored with conventional training that I knew I had to make a change. Thanks to the writings of Doug Hepburn and Anthony Ditillo I suddenly found myself wanting to go after their methods of training.
This by far was the biggest gamble I had ever taken in my weightlifting career and by far the hardest. I was up for the challenge to get started.Through many years of trial, disappointments, victories and learned mental knowledge I now teach this style of dead stop training to all differents levels of athletes. Talk about a Breakthrough!The seconds biggest gamble was stone lifting. You might think your real strong until you attach yourself to your first stone. After watching the DVD of the great strongman Steve Jeck go to Iceland and carry the 418-pound Husafell Stone 50 meters around the sheep pen I was hooked. I wanted to get there so bad that the desire literally was a constant reminder every waking day of my life at that point. So I started with all types of stones. Initially, we built Atlas Stones, gathered creek stones, and gathering stones from the side of the road. My greatest triumph was the design of the Husasteel Stone which I designed and had built to get ready for the Iceland Voyage. When we talk Breakthrough this is definitely tied with Power Rack Training. They are both very different, unique but they do resemble each other in their styles. Just believe me when I made that statement in the above paragraph That alone is a new podcast in itself. The point I want to make to all of you is Breakthroughs will only happen when your willing to work as hard as you possibly can. You must construct, build, test and eventually succeed with that one basic idea you had to improve upon over and over. If there was ever a secret to the word Breakthrough that just might be it.
