How would a star bodybuilder like Steve Reeves fare in today’s muscle up action movies? He was truly a legend back in the Hercules movies and very functional in his daily life but would he be a viable draw today at the box office? We talk about the watering down of physical culture and when someone see’s a 315 pound squat they look at the lift in record proportions. This is all a result from the lifters taking it out of the gyms and training outside, in garages and in their cellars. We talk about the potential all of us have but very few of us ever put it into action. We talk about getting really good at the movement of your choice. We used the example of tire flipping for high repetitions. We gradually build them up to the point where are bodies are so enduring and strong we aren’t afraid to challenge and go after anything we find of interest. Then take the training you love and push it as hard and as far as possible. There is no such thing as giving anything worthwhile a try.
