Eric and Rob discuss the barbell and dumbbell bent row. The first thing we talk about is why has this great mass building exercise virtually disappeared from weight rooms. There are two things that come to mind on this subject. The first reason is its much easier to perform this exercise on a machine where everything is set up for you. Its just a matter of selecting the weight. Our second suspicion is the row is just to damm hard to perform for most people. This is no reason not to give this exercise a solid attempt. You’ll build tremendous back size with deep muscles everywhere. This is one of those bulking exercises which works you from head to toe. The row will hit your lats harder then anything out there. You’ll increase your back and lat size so much that you’ll look like from the back you have wings and could literally fly. Eric and Rob talk about what we load the bars with. When we are rowing with an olympic bar not only are we adding steel plates, we will add tires or millstones to the mix. Just think of the visual when you get ready to row.
