Extremes/Achievement–Eric Fiorillo The Host of The Award Winning Motivation and Muscle Streaming Radio 24/7 Welcomes Steve Cotter to the broadcast. Steve is the Founder and Director of the IKFF, champion athlete, kettlebell trainer, martial arts trainer, and an expert in the human performance fields.Eric and Steve begin the podcast off with Steve telling Eric that he is extreme and he leads by example. We call that a beautiful thing. We also talk about the Etched in Stone Movement Eric created and how so many strength lifters have gravitated back to the power of sandbag lifting. We talk about some of the people we admire in the strength field starting with Martin Jancsics to John Brookfield and the in between. Steve then made reference to extremes outside of the gym. By this, we mean taking that knowledge and fire from your gym work and teaching it to others. This will not only broaden you but will create layers of trainees that will begin to inspire high achievement in their lives.We talk about your persona and what really drives you in and out of the gym. Is it a big personal record in the deadlift, a monster sandbag clean and press overhead, or how about a massive barbell curl with a thick bar? The main thing we will do here is building a healthy mind, body, and soul.  The bottom line here is were going to live a lifetime of extremes, achievement, and dedication!  What was working on now might look much different to us in the future? One of the biggest extremes we feel that has taken many of us over is the cell phone. Has humanity lost the ability to want to speak directly to one another? We as human beings will not last very long in this world if we can’t or won’t become social with one another. Look at, study them or get involved with older people. The thing they yearn for the most is human contact with one another. It’s very important to stay in the mix of things, getting involved and bringing the human touch to the world through conversation. We finish this blockbuster show off with the extremes we will go for to make our biggest achievements in our lives. I equate this to walking into the ring of your choice and giving your life’s blood to get there. Please reread that last sentence over and over. We use a great example from the movie Rocky 2. Mick tells Rocky we need speed to beat Apollo Creed this time. Mick trains Rocky in the way his era did to gain speed. Chicken chasing was big in that era and the belief was if you could chase and catch that little chicken you would get that speed very much needed. After many times of failing to catch the chicken, Rocky finally achieves it.  Their jubilation and excitement can now be heard all over as  Mick exclaims:”Now We Got Speed!” Make your extremes and your achievements work on your behalf but always remember the strength you build inside that gym must be passed on to the rest of the world. It’s your job to be a Steward of Strength and the Gatekeeper for all that’s Strong! The Personification of Dedication as I call it!
