Eric and Andrew are bringing you their best podcast to date Titled Getting it Done! We start out and catch up on how Andrew’s overhead pressing goals have gone since the last time we spoke. He has done and is still working on barbell presses overhead, dumbbells overhead and kettlebells overhead. On his one day of the week where anything goes he’ll be pressing telephone poles, kegs, sandbags and stones. As Andrew tells Eric if he can lift it the effort to succeed overhead will always be in motion!

We use the example of when Andrew rolled his ankle trail running. Instead of beating on it he came up with a plan to train around it and strengthen other parts of his body that he felt were lagging in strength. When you take this approach to training you heal faster and become stronger in the process.

Don’t worry about your favorite bar or how your plates are stacked on the bar. Just get out there and pull it and push it! That right there is the most important thing you can do. The next key point we hit is Winter training. Get outside and lift! Dress for the weather and do what you would normally do regardless of the temperature. Enjoy the cold, the snow and the wind. Relish the thought that this type of Winter Cold is going to increase your ability to be ready for what life throws at you if you choose to compete or in daily survival.
