Jon Bruney-Coconut Shoulders-#513-Eric Fiorillo The Host of The Award Winning Motivation and Muscle Streaming Radio Show Welcomes Jon Bruney to the Broadcast. Eric and Jon kick right into the power of Coconut Sized Shoulders. Eric tells Jon this phrase came from a local big lifter who always talked about building big powerful shoulders. Jon relates to Eric that he just came back from a Dragon Door Seminar and one of the topics of conversation was building shoulder health. Eric tells Jon how he has discovered an old Iron Man article which shows you how to rehab a shoulder injury through light dumbbell work. We talk about more of the top down rack training. This time Eric tells Jon about lifting the Husasteel Stone from the top down. We identify what the body will look like with theses heavy pulls and how you can always recognize a heavy lifter by their back, lats, traps and neck. Eric and Jon talk about the importance of training the shoulder girdle and how it must be trained at every angle. When the shoulders are trained in this way the likely hood of injury is diminished considerably. We talk about how the stronger side of the body will always compensate for the weaker. Eric tells Jon about a program he has implemented into  his training which will fix that. It’s called one sided training. By training various lifts on one side of the body for that training session given time and patience you will shore your weaknesses. Jon explains to Eric how valuable the bent row is for shoulder health and to really train your posterior deltoids extra hard. The reason why you’ll see such growth right away in the posterior delt is because most of the time they’ve been neglected. Eric and Jon talk about the secret sauce to great pressing overhead. Whether your pressing in the power rack, cleaning a log and pressing it over head or pressing huge dumbbells overhead do them until you can’t press them anymore. From there we move right into pumping and flushing the deltoids using three dumbbell exercises. Do them until your coconuts feel like there going to burst wide open.
