Eric Fiorillo The Host of The Award Winning Motivation and Muscle Podcast Show Welcomes Army Paratrooper, SWAT Commander, Bodyguard to Fortune 500 Executives, a Record-Breaking Motivational Strongman, and writer and author Mike Gillette to the Broadcast.
Eric and Mike start the show off before we move into procrastination with this question- Why do most people want to do the least amount of work nowadays to get to their destination?
As Mike tells Eric everyone wants a cheat sheet to make everything a little easier.
We both feel living in a technology world as we are today people feel a click on this or a search on that will give them enough information to achieve their goals without putting the time in.
Now we move right into procrastination which is a word I despise.
Eric and Mike talk about the definition of procrastination which is to put something off that needs to be done now.
Mike tells Eric when he went to college after leaving the military service he was married and had a child. College at this point was very important to Mike and exceptional grades were a priority. Prior to this Mike tells Eric his grades were terrible through school and he lacked study habits.
Mike gives us a great example of his own procrastination in his junior and senior years of college. Mike was an excellent writer who had a real passion for it. Mike would not have his paper ready till the night before it was due. Mike in his own mind believed that I’m getting an A on every paper why change my thinking. This kept reinforcing what he was doing.
Eric relates to Mike how he works sometimes much better under the gun so to speak. Eric tells Mike he seems to excel much better when having to perform in that manner. Though you don’t want to make a constant habit of this.
Eric also tells Mike through the years the weight room has really curbed his procrastination. Eric feels that you will never reach a high level of training or competition if you’re putting things off on a daily basis.
Eric and Mike really lay it all out and give you the ability to make some serious changes in how you approach and do the important things in your life.
No more procrastination!
