No Retreat. No Surrender-Eric Fiorillo The Host of The Award Winning Motivation and Muscle Streaming Radio 24/7 Welcomes Clint Darden to the Broadcast. Clint is a Strongman, Olympic Lifter, Trainer, Stone Lifter and from The House of Biceps. Eric and Clint start the podcast right off with No Retreat. No Surrender. This is something we all face at one time or another in our lifting careers. We all have injuries, illnesses or mental burnout which leads to the dreaded word overtraining. Eric and Clint talk about his recent setback and the health issues he’s had to fight with for many years. As Clint tells Eric 2016 has really been a productive year for him because he has met some very big goals. Clint tells Eric he’s had these two personals goals he wanted to achieve by the end of 2016. The first goal was to load a 365 Atlas Stone and pull from the floor a 750-pound Deadlift by years end.Unfortunately, this goal will be moved forward to 2017. Clint has been in and out of the hospital for two out of the three weekends in December. Besides feeling weak from his illness he has also lost 30 pounds of bodyweight. This is where our verse called No Retreat No Surrender comes into full swing. Just because your goals and dreams are on a temporary hold for a short spell it’s nothing to worry about. We talk about the pent up aggression you have when these situations arise. You know in your heart your ready to punish that heavy stone and do that record deadlift but is it worth another setback or potential surgery? No, it’s not! This is when creativity in your training takes center stage. Show the world how bad you want it. Do the things that you’ve never tried or never wanted to do or maybe you should renew your brotherhood with some old tried and true lifts that are not popular but are very result producing with some hard work.Eric and Clint talk about some of the things Eric does in his own training to assist his explosion and lifting of stones. When using the power rack correctly you can do stone isometrics using either bands or bungee cords to push through it.  Eric calls his program X. Creating an X in the power rack, a stone, and a low pulling block is all you’ll need to pull and explode as hard as you want and succeed. There is No Retreat or No Surrender in this camp. What we want to really emphasize here is there is nothing wrong with taking a step back from your situation, regrouping and do all you can do to eventually shake hands with destiny.  The more things you go through in your life, never surrendering and always finding a workaround to every problem that you encounter in your life will make you eventually unstoppable. Remember the winners in life show their grit, guts, and determination and there’s No Retreat No Surrender! Motivation and Muscle Streaming Radio 24/7 Connects Your Brain To Your Brawn. Enjoy!
