Odd Haugen-Thinking Process-#527-Eric Fiorillo The Host of the World Famous Motivation and Muscle Streaming Radio Welcomes Strongman, Powerlifter, Promoter and Grip Strength Competitor Odd Haugen to the Broadcast. Eric and Odd kick the show right off with the thinking process. As Odd tells Eric the brain leads the way with everything. It doesn’t matter how much talent or strength you have the mind is always in the drivers seat. Eric and Odd talk about the power of the mind as you age and its usually not the body that fails it your mind making the decision I no longer want to do it. To be very successful at anything you have to be a highly motivated individual. Odd explains to Eric he feels he made some of his best lifts in his fifties. We all understand that we get injuries and our body parts wear down but the will to compete at still a very high level will always exist if we choose to continue on. Eric and Odd talk about how he would prepare for various  contests and how does for example the Arnold  differ in preparation to the World Strongest Man both physically and mentally. We talk about some of Odds most proudest  moments in the strength arena and the feeling you get when you can beat the very best and display such power at that one moment. We talk about bicep injuries and one of the key things that can be a major reason why is poor flexibility and one example is lifting atlas stones with bent arms. That is a sure fire way to damage a bicep. Once you’ve had the bicep repair done your doctor tells you not to do much for the first six weeks. Eric and Odd feel this is a big mistake. Odd tells us he was in the gym squatting right away always making sure the repaired arm was stable and not in harms way. We both believe that creating more mobility in the repaired area will signal the brain to speed up the healing process that much faster. We finished off  the show with how does Odd see the talent of today’s up and coming competitor’s in World Strongest Man. Can a 300 pound competitor win World Strongest today? Odd believes there are many new faces out there that will present a real challenge and do have the ability to win at any level.
