Out of The Gym-Eric Fiorillo, The Host of The Award Winning Motivation and Muscle Streaming Radio 24/7 Welcomes Strongman, The Owner of knstrongman.com, Scottish Dissent and the Youngest Person at Age 17 to Lift the Dinnie Stones Ken Nowicki to the Broadcast. Out of The Gym. Eric and Ken start the show right off with what Ken calls the testing stones. We’re out of the gym and into the rugged outdoors to train and lift stones. Nothing is being done in a controlled environment or with the balanced barbell. The versatility of stone lifting is second to none. Let’s talk about a few of the things you can do with natural stones.The biggest challenge of lifting different shaped stones is every stone will present a whole new challenge. The second thing to remember is each one can be used for different lifts.  Some examples of these lifts are deadlifts, rows, presses, ground to shoulder and heavy bear hugged walks. A cheap inexpensive way to build pure muscle. We talk about the transference of power to stone lifting via the dead stop front squat. Here’s the real twist in the iron. Eric tells Ken how he’s using a three-inch bar to front squat and how the sheer force of the bar to squeeze with test your metal like no other. We give some comparisons to the dirt floor gym and a good solid hardcore gym facility. They both have their merits but Ken and Eric both agree on the more stoic view of a gym. It’s all about appearance. The appearance of anything rugged will make you want to be there, make you work harder and surround yourself with people who are like-minded in nature. We talk about the success you can have with any lift once you have implemented fully a sandbag into your training. Ken tells Eric about the transference of strength and power from sandbag training and how it greatly influences to the lifting and tossing of a loaded 400-pound keg. Sandbags are a very inexpensive way to exploding any lift into the stratosphere.The whole point of being in or out of the gym is to get in an environment that creates success in whatever it is your taking on. Today we talked mainly about stones, sandbags and dead stop power rack training.  Become a real student of these lifts. Seek out others who have more experience in what you’re doing, search youtube to watch these lifts, hire someone who can put you on the right path and never be afraid to become a self-taught expert.
