Russell Furr-PowerRack-#453-Eric Fiorillo The Host of The Award Winning Motivation and Muscle Podcast Show Welcomes Strength Athlete, Family Man, Master Plumber and a Man of Character Russell Furr to the Broadcast. Eric and Russell start the show right off with how he found Motivation and Muscle. Now that Russell has a hold on his training and has defined what he wants to accomplish he comes on to tell our family what he see’s done wrong at his gym and what he would do to change it. Eric and Russell talk about how most people he observes in the gym don’t even know how to set the pins correctly in the power rack. Russell also see’s so many exercises mainly isolation movements such as tricep extensions which the trainee will do for 30 minutes then leave the gym. I guess at that point they’ve worn themselves out. Eric and Russell address the proper shoes to wear when your lifting weights or using the power rack for heavy squats. As Russell tells Eric running shoes won’t do it. Russell suggests the old school Chuck Taylor Converse AllStar for the sneaker of choice. We talk about the proper breathing for lifting and Eric describes what he does to ready his body and mind to get under a big dead stop squat and complete it. Eric briefly tells Russell how he loads the bar with 90 percent of his best squat and does some isometric holds. The next set will be for the record breaker. This method of dead stop training works so well if you’ve done things right prior to this the rate of success for that new record is close to 100 percent. We talk about gym behavior and why so many trainees don’t rack their weights and leave them in a pile and walk away. Eric and Russell talk about the ability to handle hard work and not rely on expensive supplements which do very little for you other then draining your wallet. The Motivation and Muscle Podcast Show Connects Your Brain To Your Brawn. Enjoy!
