Sonja is an Arm Wrestler, MAS Competitor, Strongwoman and Co-Owner of Epic Fitness Solutions with Will Dinwiddie.
Eric and Sonja start the podcast off with Sonja stating she always was an athlete especially a long distance runner but she wanted a little more. Upon her discovery of the sport of strongman she decided this is something she wanted to do. Sonja was committed and would give it all she had to get started and continue.
Will Dinwiddie was the major influence in Sonja’s quest for learning how to train in this unconventional manner. Will was also known for his great business reputation outside of the gym and Sonja read testimonials from clients he’s worked with. Sonja’s decision to come on board was much easier now so she got started.
Sonja talks about some of the movements she likes to do with her strongman training such as the log press, stone lifting and the Yoke walk. We talk about how strongman can change not only your thinking in a positive way but also change your body composition completely. Sonja attests to the positive changes which have taken place physically without harsh diets or three hour workouts everyday.
