After the song finished and he began his day he kept thinking about the words to that song and he decided to call it Strength As a State of Mind. Eric and Jon talk about what strength really is. State of Mind is still the most important thing you must have to lift heavy things, endure the weather, and get to that winning level we all desire. We also define the need to educate yourself in your chosen discipline. When you do this it gives you the ability to dissect the information you have learned and build that quality into your own training. True State of Mind allows you to deal with progress and failure. It allows you to respect our past and present day Physical Culture but most of all as Jon describes that this privilege that’s been bestowed upon us is truly like having a loaded gun. We must honor and respect everything we’ve been taught and use it wisely. State of Mind is an attitude the tells us all to Say What You Mean and Mean What You Say! No excuses with anything. Get to the gym and do what is expected of you. Every time you miss a workout or make an excuse the odds of getting that day back our never. Eric and Jon finish the Strength As a State of Mind Podcast off with why we should be doing these result producing workouts that most of the world will shy away from. Get the idea out of your head that this type of training is too hard. Get outside and lift some sandbags, some stones, kettlebells and also concentrate on mastering your bodyweight. We have a responsibility to ourselves to get out from behind the computer, off the phone and the couch. Turn back on your strength gene that we all have had since the beginning of time. It’s never too late my friends. Learn once again to take your health seriously. Show your might. Never let age enter into your heart and mind. You can always create the best version of yourself if you will it and want it again in your life! When you build your Strength As a State of Mind your Life will come completely full circle.
