What Does it Take To Be a Champion-Eric Fiorillo The Host of The Award Winning Motivation and Muscle Streaming Radio 24/7 Welcomes Strongman, Strongman Performer, Steel Bender, Motivational Speaker and Owner of The Machine Shop Gym Mike The Machine Bruce to the Broadcast? Eric and Mike start the show right off with what does it take and what are the real qualities of a real champion? A champion is a certain type of person who never uses the word quit or ever quits any goal they are in pursuit of.  You learn to build this internal fortitude through success and failure. The most important attribute about a winner is the undying attitude to win, succeed and make good on that promise you made to yourself.

Eric and Mike discuss some of the different personality types who are champions and portray a role we either  like or dislike. We both agree on the self-serving, loud mouth bragging champion is not someone we admire. We might respect and envy his or hers body of work but we stay away from them on a personality level. What we do agree on is that we enjoy the nonconsuming, hardworking get it done style champion who lets his work be his voice. When that champion is called upon for a response they look you in the eye and speak intelligently and in a respectful manner.Eric and Mike talk about how you should conduct yourself in public when your outside of the gym. Eric tells the story of how his parents constantly were on him  about how to conduct yourself at the dinner table. Reminders like putting your napkin on your lap, how to hold your fork and how to bring your food to your mouth not your mouth to your plate. Once again they were right. I can’t tell you how many people I have broken bread with that have no  table manners whatsoever.Mike responds with a where have all the men disappeared to? That is a question we have pondered here on Motivation and Muscle a lot. The thought for today would be to learn to listen, learn and pay attention so you might just learn something which will carry you through the rest of your life. Mike also talks about what manliness is and how a man carries himself either as a champion or a thug. Giving others a hard time or creating trouble can go either way in the real world. One thing that could happen swiftly and sometimes does is you could get crushed if you meet up with the wrong person. Another lesson lived is a lesson learned. We talk about what a champion Mike is. Mike with his strong faith and tenacity overcame a back injury that would of put most people down permanently. Eric and Mike discuss how he was in enormous pain, clutching the floor with tears streaming down his face. The thing that really tells us what Mike is made of is he never complained.  Deep down inside Mike knew he would walk again and resume his physical journey once again. The power of a champion never dies. Sometimes you need a reminder and the ability to dust yourself off and champion the reasons why you got into it in the first place.I hope all of our Motivation and Muscle family will not only find strength in Mikes comeback but will do what it takes to make good on your promise to always be a CHAMPION!
