Janelle is a certified trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, Certified RKC/SFG instructor Level 2, gym owner and a competitive athlete. Eric and Janelle start out on a multitude of subject matter examining the old school style of conditioning the body! Janelle found that the high repetition weight training coupled with long distance running was really putting a beating on her central nervous system. The result was being tired quite a bit and just not being able to sustain those lifting loads she was so used to accomplishing when training.We go into detail on how to get your nervous system super revved up and train in a way where you’re using heavy weights spread over a short interval of time paired up with low reps and how it will make your lifting strength just explode literally. Eric talks about his method of using an egg timer to deliver even more to your workout with an added bonus. This type of training really attacks your belief system. When your weights are really turned up, shortened and successful your mind builds a strong, goal setting machine that will not rest until all goals presently are accomplished.Recovery is another big issue with people in every profession we encounter in today’s world. Eric and Janelle talk about how Janelle had not slept in well for over one year and the ramifications that come from this. The best thing to remember here is nothing is better for you from a mental and physical standpoint other than 8 to 10 hours of good sound sleep. Through sleep, our bodies replenish our hormones, recovery and our mental freshness.As we approach the end of our show Eric and Janelle talk about how to set yourself up for greatness.
