Eric and Will talk about the car deadlift, deadlifts, stiff legged deadlifts, monster rows and stone lifts and walks just to name a few.

We talk about the car deadlift Will did for multiple days. His body was pumped from head to toe for a week. As Will relates to Eric his physique looked just like an off season bodybuilder. He literally was blown up.

We also talk about a program Eric has been doing with 3 pulls in a row. As Eric told Will who’s to tell me you can’t do 3 pulls in a row. This consisted of the hand/thigh deadlift, Husasteel Stone Walk and the Strict Barbbell Curl. What a man making routine this is and one which will give you a gorilla like physique when given enough time and patience.

We talk about lifting the Atlas Stones and doing heavy distance walks with the Husasteel Stone. We also talk about the power of partials relating to pulling super heavy Husasteel Stones.

What a high octane show we have for you today. Our good friend Shawn Mozen joins Eric to talk about his program which he hosts all over the world called Masters of Movement.

Shawn tells Eric he just got back from Bali Indonesia where his last seminar just took place.

Eric and Shawn discuss how these events are designed to take you out of your comfort zone and show your athleticism.

Shawn gave a few examples which would really get your testosterone juices flowing such as surfing and repelling down a mountain through a waterfall. These two modalities are not only very physical but extremely thought provoking things to go after.

This leads us to discuss many different weight lifting exercises/challenges we like to do to see what were made of.

We talk about powerlifting, olympic lifting, kettlebells and our favorite strongman. We feel that everyone of these movements have great benefits but we agree that strongman has the carryover more so then anything we have tried.

We talk about our love for Iceland and the Husafell Stone.

Shawn has done a Masters of Movements in Iceland and befriended Magnus Ver Magnussen while he was there. Magnus introduced Shawn to Hafthor Bjornsson when they were over in Iceland.

Eric and Shawn talked about some of his Masters of Movement Events coming up. Very interesting stuff I might add.

Casey Walker-Contest Winner-#411

Eric Fiorillo The Host of The Award Winning Motivation and Muscle Podcast Show Welcomes Casey and Rick Walker to the Broadcast.

Casey is the winner of the FBC and Stronger Grip Sledgehammer Contest. Casey is 12 years old and is a Powerlifter and a Football Player.

Eric and Casey start the show right off with Casey giving a short bio on himself and who his heroes are. Casey explains to Eric that his only hero is his dad. Rick has really had so much impact on Casey both as a mentor, father and coach.

We talk about the three major lifts and why Casey chose powerlifting as his sport.

We talk about Casey’s favorite lift which is the deadlift. At 112 pounds of body weight this young man has deadlifted 303 pounds.

We talk about Casey’s favorite word for success which is dedication. He feels to take on any challenge in powerlifting or life you have to be fully dedicated to your dreams.

Casey is starting to get ready for a big powerlifting meet in October and I’m sure this young man will come out on top.

Casey is a glowing example of what a young man can accomplish when he has the drive and the support to go after big goals which take loads of fortitude and grit to accomplish.

Rick, his father, is Casey’s driving force. Rick, who is a powerlifter himself, trains younger athletes to excel in powerlifting and lead the pack in all of life’s endeavors. This is so important when a young man or woman is looking for direction.

Choosing strength sports with a great coach is just what the doctor ordered.

I want to tell Casey how honored and inspired I am to have him on Motivation and Muscle and will have him on again in the near future.

These are the stories that kids and adults should be listening to. Become dedicated and inspired!

Eric and Mark talk about some of the techniques he uses to restore your body back to health. Some examples are Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation/Trigger Point, Drop Table, Instrument Adjusting,  Cranial Manipulation, Shockwave Therapy and Deep Tissue Laser (class IV lasers).

I’m personally having great success with Shockwave Therapy. This modality transmits a series of mechanical percussive impulses to the involved soft tissue structures. These repetitive pressure waves create micro-trauma by breaking down scar tissue/adhesions, tendinopathies,fibrosis, and trigger points. This process really activates the healing process.

As Mark tells Eric chiropractic care restores health and prevents injury . When your body is functioning properly your brain communicates with the rest of the body via the spinal cord and nervous system. This is when you attain superior health.

Eric and Jeff kick the show right off talking about The World Strongest Disabled Man he’ll be participating in this year in Manchester England.

This is the first time the WSDM has not been hosted in Iceland.

Jeff explains to Eric and our M&M audience the origins of the WDSM and who exactly created this event and the other strongmen involved in it presently.

Some of the events in the WSDM are trucks pulls, atlas stone loading, dumbbell movements and the Hercules hold.

We talk about the growth of the WSDM and how it takes a certain kind of athlete to travel out of their own country and compete at a very high level.  This is truly the mark of a champion win or lose.

Eric and Jeff talk about some of the events he’s working on such as the truck pull, atlas stone lift and the standing deadlift.

We talk about the mental mind set you must develop for strongman and the ability to go out there win or lose keep continually working towards your goal.

Eric and Jeff talk about the gym even early on in your life where it was a place to go when you just felt like you didn’t fit in. The gym taught you how to create standards in your life. How showing up on time was so important, respect for the iron, learning how to observe the other lifters, but most of all creating life long friendships with you lifting brothers.

There is so much inspiration, hard work and listening to men who have a disability but you would never know it by there hard charging attitude.

Eric and Clint address his health problems and how he’s back lifting stones. He’s in the process of rebuilding his stone lifting and that’s all he wants to do short term. Clint has had to start lifting  with his lightest stone of one hundred and sixty five pounds and has also lifted a one hundred and ninety pound too. Clint makes it perfectly clear that he wants to deadlift big and to lift big stones period. 

Eric and Clint talk about how big of a role the triceps and lats play in your success when attempting to lift a stone. We feel these are two of the areas which are neglected and why good hard work will eventually earn you that success you crave when tearing a huge stone from the earth. As Clint tells Eric that he’s been taking the conservative approach to stone lifting. What he has written down for that day is done no matter how he feels.

We also talk about what Clint does for rehab, how to work smaller muscle groups and to constantly do something everyday. By taking this approach Clint is already up to loading a  three hundred and ten pound stone. 

We talk about rest pause training methods for lifting stones and how to use them to build more muscle, strength and endurance to become successful in any of your stone lifting endeavors.

Eric welcomes Bud back into the family after a short break from the show. Bud tells Eric what he’s been up to, working on and what new products he will market shortly.

We start the show right off with the term life lessons and how it applies to the thing we all love to do with such passion. We call it lifting big heavy things. It can be described as lifting huge weights, stones and kettlebells for example.

We talk about how being a well rounded person will take you much further then being one dimensional. When I say one dimensional Bud stressed that there is much more out there then just lifting weights.

Having loved ones around you and being part of something bigger then oneself will make you excel at everything so much better. To put it in my words lifting will always be my nucleus but there are other things which you should not shut out of your life to get to that big goal. What we thought ten minutes ago let alone twenty years ago will never be the same. Lifting on a whole when you truly understand it can and will deliver you to a destination of overwhelming strength, mentalness, love, affection and desire in a way that nothing and I mean nothing will ever accomplish.

Eric and Bud got into the all out surge in power with isometrics in the power rack. Bud is even pressing stones against the upper frame of the power rack for holding time.

Eric explains how he digs his fingers into various size stones and tries to push them through his garage wall.

We get into rack holds for time and what you can achieve when training in this brutal manor.

Eric and Erin talk about the years of training and eating and building that mental toughness we so crave and work so hard to build upon.

But what happens when out training lives and the things we love to do start to backfire on us both physically and mentally?

Erin is going to explain to our Motivation and Muscle Family what she has been doing to address her problems with this. Erin explains how she is an exercise addict and how food through the years has ruled her every move since she was fifteen years old.

She explains how she knew she needed help to change herself mentally and to be able to function once again where it wasn’t all or nothing.

Erin told Eric that she is in an intensive sixty day program through the Navy Seals who support the Marines on these matters.

I applaud Erin for her honesty and guts to put it all out on the line for our family of listeners. I hope anyone who is suffering from these problems will be encouraged by Erin’s story to get the help they need.

From there we turn to the word hope.  Eric tells Erin that hope will always have a place to make your dream come true. Hope will change everything in your life. There are so many things we want to do in our lives.When you have hope wrapped around your dreams and ambition you will get it done.

Sometimes when things get rough or the world has got you down that little word called hope whispers in you ear and everything just feels right again.

Erin delivers again and gives us a great recipe for her Blueberry Cheesecake Smoothie.
