Ellen Yates-Observations and Solutions-#536-Eric Fiorillo The Host of The Award Winning Motivation and Muscle Streaming Radio Welcomes the founder and president of N2SHAPE who holds a B.A. in physical fitness management from Marietta College and certifications from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), the American Council on Exercise (ACE), the Cooper Institute for Aerobics Research (CIAR), and the National Federal of Personal Trainers (NFPT) Ellen Yates to the broadcast. Eric and Ellen start the show right off with a big observation we see in gyms all over America. Trainees using more weight then they can handle. I’m sure our lifting family has noticed this to?We talk about the warmup prior the weightlifting session and why it’s so vital to keeping you injury proof. Ellen tells Eric that she believes in stretching between sets and as part of your cool down when you have finished for the day. We talk about how poor form compounded with a poor trainer is a recipe for a major injury or permanent failure. We talk about the high school athlete who wants to become bigger and stronger and what formula do you use to make it happen. Eric tells Ellen he trains his athletes from head to toe. Eric emphasizes working hard on the back, glutes, hamstrings and calves with lots of attention to the feet. Eric and Ellen talk about her son entering his first year of high school football. Ellen has not only taught her son her training techniques but has also taught him the importance of body work off the field and how the proper nutrition taken in has a pronounced effect on recovery. We talk about the competitive streak that runs through us all and how some pain, bumps, scrapes and bruises are welcomed at times to remind us that were working  hard.  We talk about how lifting weights  grows into a lifestyle and the unstoppable drive to learn more, grow bigger, recover better, eat better and do the proper bodywork to keep your body tuned up to endure everything life throws at you.
